Congratulations and welcome to your new role as a clinical instructor of faculty advisor in the nursing profession. You have chosen a new role that embraces knowledge development, role modelling, mentoring and coaching students as they develop their competencies and enter nursing to practice in a competent, safe and ethical manner. The following modules were developed to provide you with information that will facilitate your transition to your role as a clinical instructor and faculty advisor.

There are four modules, each with a content material pdf page followed by a list of resources that are integrated in the content material page. Once you review the material you can take a short quiz to test your knowledge and then proceed to the next module.

  1. Become familiar with the context of the UOIT/DC Collaborative BScN Program and the UOIT/DC/GC RPN to BScN Program with relation to your assigned course.
  2. Understand the processes involved with practicing your role as a clinical instructor or faculty advisor.
  3. Develop an understanding of the evaluation processes of students in the practicum setting.

To unlock the next module's content you have to pass the current module's quiz. The passing grade for all quizzes is 100%. You can have as many attempts on a quiz as needed.
